Each teacher's website has some of the same basic information. Each website includes information about the teacher, the class newsletter, and other resources. These resources include calendars, homework pages, announcements, etc. That information is public and can be accessed by going onto the school website. This information is useful because parents have access to the classroom without physically being there.  Here is an example of a first-grade class at FSUS:  https://www.fsus.school/Domain/310 I believe that technology will play a key role in my future classroom. After exploring all the resources in my class so far, I have learned so much about twitter, diigo, google classroom, and so much more! I would love to use twitter to connect with other educators and stay up to date on news. I also love the usefulness of diigo, google classroom, and other interactive student websites. I also plan on showing youtube videos to help my students in their learning....

Diigo is a great tool to help you keep track of bookmarks, annotate web pages, organize web information, and share the information with others. Diigo is very easy to use, especially with the chrome extension. I think it will be a great way to organize information for different class subjects. However, I think it may be a bit outdated due to other ways to save and organize information.  Blogging has been a great experience so far! I enjoy blogging for class assignments much more than posting a discussion board on canvas. Blogging is definitely something that I have looked into as a hobby and another platform to connect with people with similar interests. I love reading blogs written by teachers and learning more about their classroom life. Blogging can extend in so many directions and be a creative outlet for people. I can't wait to see where this blogging experience takes me in my future. Youtube and Podcasts are my favorite web tools these days. I love watching lifestyl...

My Twitter experience has been good. I am still having trouble remembering to go on the app. I have been interacting with @EME2040 as well as some of my other classmates. Twitter can be useful to interact with other educators to discuss a topic. This can be anything related to teaching styles, teaching ideas, or learning more information about a certain topic; the options are endless.  The digital divide is a term used to describe the gap between those who do and do not have access to technology. This access or lack of access can affect students' success in schools. Students that do have computer and internet access are home are believed to be at a greater advantage for academic success. Some causes of the digital divide may be due to poverty and economic barriers that may limit resources and access to these technologies. I think this will have an effect on my students if I assign an at-home assignment that they need access to a computer and/or the internet.  Academic ...

The ELA technology Kindergarten Standard is about teachers and parents providing help and instruction to the child in order to explore the different digital tools to create and publish writing, with or without their peers. I do feel prepared to implement this standard. I feel prepared to work with other teachers and the parents of my students to work on their technology skills where they will be able to be familiar and use the technology correctly in order to publish their work. With my previous skills and my new skills, I believe that this is an attainable goal. CPALMS  is a great resource for educators. The website provides information, resources, and tools organized by grade level. It includes tons of free resources for every subject. I would use this in my classroom to provide my students with activities for different subjects. The website covers everything from Standards and Instructional resources. Even if I choose to not use their resources, they can provide me with ideas ...
