As a student, I have had many interactions with Microsoft Word. As a student in college, MS Word is something that I am constantly using to take notes on. In high school, I would use MS Word to create study guides for my quizzes and exams. I have seen my teachers use Word to create study guides, flyers, and provide more information about different topics. MS Word is something that myself, and teachers, use in their everyday life throughout their school year. I remember learning about copyright in my business class in high school. I have added photos from the internet to papers and PowerPoints, added music to presentations, and created videos using a mix of music and photos. As a teacher, I think it is important to have outside resources to be able to use in the classroom. I think it is great to use create your own materials, but sometimes the copyrighted materials are a necessary resource to have. There are many influences for K-12 teachers and students to use technology in the classroom. Technology has become widespread amongst schools, especially within the classroom. It has evolved to where almost every classroom uses some sort of technology. This has changed how teachers teach and how students learn. Technology has enabled students to learn more and retain more information. It can be used to play educational games, watch supplemental videos, or finding other resources to help benefit the students. It also motivates students to learn and provides them with a means to learn at their own pace. I believe that the most meaningful ISTE Standard for Educators is the learner. This standard is about the endless enhancements that can be done by learning from and with others to better improve student learning. ABOUT ME! Hi, my name is Jordan and I am an aspiring teacher. I am currently majoring in psychology and minoring in child development and education at Florida State. I am excited to graduate and attend graduate school to earn my Master's in Education. I hope to one day begin my career in Atlanta, Georgia.  When I was in elementary school, I remember taking a class dedicated to typing. It was then when my interest in technology began. Throughout my schooling, I have had to use different Microsoft applications and other online programs, such as Prezi, Google docs, etc. I believe that all these different applications have made my learning more efficient.
